Tips For Use

General Instructions:

Application:

  • Good control requires good coverage.
  • The application should be made using sufficient water to ensure thorough coverage.
  • For application in turf, use 400-800 L water per ha for foliar or crown diseases such as Dollar Spot, Anthracnose, Brown Patch, Fusarium (Microdochium), Helminthosporium, Leptosphaerulina and Curvularia.
  • Use higher water rates (up to 1600L per ha) to treat soil/root diseases such as Brown Patch, Ectotrophic Root Infecting fungi and Spring Dead Spot.

Turf Nutrition:

  • This product acts very rapidly, and a slight yellowing may be seen where the turf is of low nutritional status.
  • This will be corrected by nitrogenous fertiliser application.
  • Where possible, it is recommended that the fertiliser program should precede the fungicide application.
  • Tombstone Duo has been used on various ornamental plant species (ie azaleas, begonias, chrysanthemums, cinerea, geraniums, gerbera, Myrtaceae, native daisies, pelargoniums, roses, snapdragon), without damage.
  • Some species and varieties, however, are particularly sensitive to chemical sprays and as this sensitivity is often related to local conditions, it is advisable to treat only a small number of plants first to ascertain the reaction before treating a whole target group.

Restraints:

  • Do not mow lawns for 7 days after application.
  • Do not spray when rain is expected within 12 hours.
  • Do not apply when the soil is dry and plants suffer from moisture stress.
  • Do not spray when shade temperatures are likely to exceed 30 °C.
  • Do not use on edible plants.

Precautions:

  • Do not enter treated areas until the spray has died.
  • Do not allow containers or spray into drains, sewers, ponds or streams.
  • Do not feed grass clippings from treated areas to poultry or other animals.

Plant Safety:

  • Tombstone has been tested on various ornamental varieties and demonstrated plant safety.
  • Since the susceptibility of ornamental varieties can vary, it is recommended to test the product on a small number of plants first to assess the level of plant safety.
  • If lawns are nutrient deficient, slight yellowing may occur, which can be corrected by applying lawn fertiliser.

Storage:

  • Store in the closed, original container in a cool, dry place out of reach of children and pets.
  • Do not store in direct sunlight.

Safety Directions:

  • Wash hands after use.

First Aid Instructions:

  • Contact a doctor or Poisons Information Centre if poisoning occurs. Phone Australia 13 11 26.
  • For further information, refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS).
